You Can Quit Smoking!

Quitting smoking is not as hard as it seems, if .you understand why you smoke! Too many stop-smoking programs focus only on breaking your nicotine addiction. However, nicotine addiction is really only a small part, a very small part of the cigarette smoking habit.

To stop smoking and stay smoke free for a lifetime requires a two-prong approach. While you reduce the nicotine in your organs and bloodstream, you break the other chemical and mental bonds that keep you chained to smoking. Are you one of those people who quit for a few days, a few weeks or even a few months and then went right back to smoking even more. Did you start smoking again even though the nicotine addiction disappeared? It's not the hunger for nicotine that is driving you to light up. It is not the addiction to nicotine that will drive you back to your one, two or three pack habit. I found the way to quit smoking that lasts a lifetime

You can quit smoking and you can do it in as little as three hours! Let me be straight with you. You will never quit or stay cigarette free unless you learn how to 'change your mind.' Yes, change your mind! Smoking has become a part of your lifestyle, part of the way you function. If you have been smoking for a year or more, a pack a day or more, the act of smoking is woven in your psychological, social and behavioral patterns. Understand that smoking has becomes a part of who you are to yourself. But it doesn't have to stay that way.

I'm not talking about attending meetings. There are no expensive and difficult books to study or complicated schedules to follow. It won't take you months to benefit from my program. In fact in as little as three hours you can learn how to quit smoking and be free of cigarette bondage, forever.

Before I quit smoking--for a lifetime, I had decades of habits and rituals that I lived by. I had a smoker's lifestyle. We get up in the morning thinking about our first cup of coffee and a cigarette. We begin our commute to work lighting cigarettes as we pull out of the driveway into traffic. Break time at work, time for a cigarette or two. Ah and then there is lunch time. A great lunch and a cigarette or two. Time to think creatively where are my cigarettes.

How in the world will I get through this pile of work or finish this project due today? I need a cigarette to figure out this budget, I need a cigarette before I go in to talk to the boss. How will I be able to concentrate on these drawings? Some smokers wonder, what am I supposed to do on my break, how can I get through rush hour traffic without a few smokes?

Then comes the substitution hunt. You're looking for something that will give you the same sense of relaxation and enjoyment that you got from smoking. What can make my morning coffee or drink taste great even without a cigarette? We even think about the effects on our sex life. That awesome smoke after great sex, uhmm uhmm uhmm.

Oh yes, don't forget the anger you are feeling. I got very upset when buildings started putting up no smoking signs. If a restaurant did not have a smoking section I would not eat there. I found my self driving longer distances just to find a restaurant that allowed smoking. I stopped flying in airplanes unless I absolutely had to.. Of course I told my self and others that I just loved driving and that's why I did not fly or take the train. I even stopped associating with people who embraced the no smoking policies. People I had known for years who suddenly became allergic to smoking were on my special list'.

Quit Smoking changed my lifestyle and my life.

I could go on and on but the reality is that smoking becomes a significant part of our lifestyle. If we are going to quit smoking it will take a change of lifestyle. It will require that we begin to discover that the pleasure is not in the cigarette but in the acts we have associated with smoking. It's the Coffee not the cigarette, it's the food not the cigarette, it's the creative thinking process not the cigarette, it's the sex not the cigarette. When we look around us and see so many people enjoying the same things we enjoy without a cigarette, that we think requires a cigarette to be complete, we discover the truth.
